This coffee is the fuel to get your kayak to Capers Island and back. Wild and uninhabited, Capers Island Heritage Preserve, just north of Charleston, is accessible only by boat. And a kayak is the perfect, simple vessel to enjoy the journey. Go with the ebb tide, paddle past mud and oyster flats, watch in amazement as dolphins surface beside you. Beach your kayak and grab your stowed thermos of Capers Blend. Walk to the island's Boneyard Beach (named for tree skeletons) and find a seat on sun-bleached wood.
